In Honour of the late Professor Emeritus
Dr. Donald Alexander Bailey

This page is a celebration honoring the contributions of Don Bailey to the Area of Growth and Development of Children. The compilation is an extensive list of documents produced due to two of his most important research projects, "The Saskatchewan Longitudinal Growth and Development Study" and "The Saskatchewan Pediatric Bone Mineral Accrual Study." Here, one will find the documents authored or co-authored by Dr. Bailey and those produced by some of his collaborators, acknowledged here, on the same topic he had previously contributed so significantly.

These documents, by no means exhaustive, were put together after a careful search of the literature, after an initial list provided by Dr. Bailey's close collaborator, Prof. Dr. Adam Baxter-Jones (College of Kinesiology, University of Saskatchewan). I am indebted to Dr. Baxter-Jones for supporting me in constructing this tribute, without which I could not have accomplished it.

The current list includes:

  • books and book chapters,

  • articles published in scientific journals,

  • free communications presented in national and international scientific meetings and

  • theses and dissertations supervised by Dr. Bailey.

The material provided here constitutes an extraordinary contribution from a unique scientist from the College of Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan and a singular human being.
